Stump Removal

If you have a stump that looks unsightly or you have cut down some trees yourself, give us a call to come and grub out the stumps.

Using the stump grinder, we can safely grind the stump out turning it into mulch. The mulch from this can then be used to spread around your garden to keep weeds at bay.

Green Waste Removal & Branch Mulching

Branch mulching from tree trimming is a great mulch for your garden.


If you have a pile of branches that needs removing, then contact us to give you a quote and keep your mulch for free.


Mulch is very beneficial for most soils it slows evaporation and protects the soil from wind and water erosion.


Mojo Contracting also offers an onsite green waste removal service for branches and firewood. If it is your material, we can leave the mulch for you for free. We also have quality mulch for sale that is broken down and ready to spread on newly established gardens.

A GRADE FINE TREE MULCH (MOJO MULCH) IS $70 PER CUBIC METRE

We also supply and deliver mulch. It is a good idea to mulch the garden as it reduces the need for watering, adds nutrients to the soil and enhances soil quality. 


We sell already broken-down mulch which can be put in your garden right away. Also, mulch is fresh from the jobs and delivered free to your property. If we are cutting your trees, you keep that mulch for free.


Our fresh mulch straight from the job is $27.50 per meter, plus delivery.

The heat generated from a pile of mulch can reach temperatures of up to 75 degrees Celsius thus killing off weed seeds. The longer they remain at this temperature the more likely they will be destroyed by the heat.

    Depending on where you live, how much property you have, and the density of the surroundings may influence how a fire may impact your property. Temperatures, humidity, wind strength, direction and the unpredictability of the weather, in general, can be major contributors to fuelling a fire.


    Having said that there are many different types and ways fires behave and therefore the result of damage caused by them, can be managed or used to our advantage. However, in the extreme, they can be absolutely devastating as seen in 1939 Black Friday where almost 2 million hectares were burnt, and 71 people lost their lives. (Department of Sustainability and Environment). Then Ash Wednesday in 1983 claimed 47 Victorians and 28 South Australians (Wikipedia) and burned 486 030 hectares (Department of Sustainability and Environment) both these fires came after many years of drought and were both fuelled by severe winds of around 100 km plus. Of course, more recently the Black Saturday fires of which has been among the worst disasters in Australia’s history, and my heart goes out to all those affected.


    This is why I want to provide this service as I feel many people don’t realize how quickly this can all happen, I had been living in the Dandenong Ranges when the Ash Wednesday fires occurred, also in 1997 people I knew lost their homes and it was scary. After it was safe to go back up the mountain, I noticed that many of the properties that were well-maintained and shrubbery clear of the house had survived.


    However, in extreme circumstances when the conditions are at their absolute worst not much can survive as seen in the Black Saturday fires, and it didn’t matter how neat your property was, or how organised you were. But it has been years since the state government and the DSE have changed the local laws regarding vegetation removal. Making it easier for residents to minimise the damage done by fire. What residents do or don’t do, with their property can greatly affect not only themselves but also your neighbouring properties. If you are unsure, talk to your neighbours or call your local CFA they may give you some tips.
